Modified Impalas are a staple of the scene - but you’ve never seen one quite like this. This 1973 Impala was re-built from the ground up to be an absolute monster. Starting with a high-output LS6 Chevrolet engine (the same engine found in the Corvette Z06 and Cadillac CTS-V), Mera Motorsports decided to push the envelope even further and bolted on a Whipple supercharger. The result? Six hundred horsepower and the perfect engine ready to take on any potential rivals.
While it does run race octane fuel, the car still gets 14 to 16 miles per gallon, which is better than many Ferraris and Lamborghinis while offering comparable (or superior) performance.

Another exciting thing about this Impala is that it isn’t even maxed out. More tweaks could be made to get the power unit putting out 800 to 900 horsepower, essentially putting the ‘73 Impala on the board as a drag race contender against a Formula 1 car.
As if the incredible thrust under the hood wasn’t enough, this car is a pristine example of the 1973 Impala, updated with a modern take. In pale yellow and sitting on tall chrome rims, this muscle car blends an unlikely mixture of old and new, beauty and power, all in one sexy package.
