What do you get when you put together the minds of extremely talented sand sculptors, skillful excavator operators and an official representative from the Guinness World Records?
A sandcastle coming in at a record holding 41 feet, 3.67 inches, destroying the previous record of 38 feet, 2 inches!

In the latest of a series of short Built For It™ Trials, “Sandcastle” captures the impressive feat of machinery and manpower coming together as one to build the world’s tallest sandcastle.
With the aid of a wheel loader, two mini excavators, and two hydraulic excavators, seven machine operators and seven sculptors transformed 734 cubic meters (960 cubic yards) of sand into a true work of art.
According to Cat, the event took place in the Caminho Niemeyer Square in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and it took a full 15 days to build this giant castle in the sand.
Look at the exquisite detail of their work. Those lines are straight. The edges are sharp. Who would have ever thought that something that was built to tear buildings down could also build a thing of such beauty?
