See the world's fastest Dodge Challenger Hellcat set a new world record

Wow! Watch the fastest Dodge Challenger Hellcat in the world set a new record, completing a ¼-mile pass at speeds of 145.50 mph in 9.467 seconds. That’s faster than Usain Bolt running the 100 meters! You’ll need to keep your eyes peeled, as the video lasts just a scant 15 seconds --- a third more time than it took the Hellcat to beat its previous record and set muscle car fans on fire with envy!
The Dodge Challenger Hellcat has proven a source of fascination for muscle car enthusiasts since the day it rolled off the production line. It sits above the fray with a powerful 707 factory-rated horsepower engine, and combined with its big-bodied platform and eye-catching color options, what is there for a car fanatic not to love?

There have been concerns about the tuning of the Hellcat’s sophisticated computer, and these have been successfully addressed by High Horse Performance and Diablo Sport Tuning. Their tuners have led to ¼ miles at unbelievable speeds, including the record-setting performance seen in the video, courtesy of HHP tuners.
With the cracking of the mid 9-second barrier at Maryland’s Cecil County Dragway, the Hellcat featured in the video, dubbed TopCat, is a force to be reckoned with. According to expert Joshua Schwartz, transmission control and its effect on power output is the next hurdle to be crossed. According to Schwartz, they are making headway with this. Schwartz anticipates tweaking transmission control can cut another tenth of a second off the ¼-mile pass time.
