Frankenstein's crawler: Liebherr creates a massive multicrane monstrosity

No, it’s not a trailer for the next Transformers movie; this monster crane creation from Liebherr is one of the biggest and most ambitious creations ever dreamed up by the German engineers. This monstrosity towers over everything else. It may not have any practical uses, but it sure draws the crowds!
Using two LTM 1750-9.1 mobile cranes as arms and an LT 11000 crawler crane body, the hydraulics of the beast alone would power several ocean liners. It's something no one but the brilliant engineers at Liebherr would come up with. Each "arm" has nine axles and a hoist height of 154 meters (about 505 feet), according to Liebherr. When not so unceremoniously hoisted in the air, these mobile cranes are versatile workhorses that can carry their entire telescopic booms on public roads.

The Liebherr Group is a large German equipment manufacturer based in Switzerland. Its cranes are world-renowned, but the company is also known for the ambitious demonstrations of its equipment at exhibitions. There are 130 companies and over 41,000 employees that work under the Liebherr Group, and with every new piece of equipment the company makes, it pushes heavy machinery and equipment forward.
